Financial Wellness Facilitator Certificate Course (On-demand)

Financial Wellness Facilitator Certificate Course

Course Description
Managing stress is a critical skill for well-being, but the best way to address stress is to reduce what is causing it. At the top of the list of stressors for many is their finances. The solutions being offered today tend to focus on budgeting, debt reduction, and retirement planning. These are important, but unless the individual’s relationship with money changes, nothing will change.

Offered in collaboration with the Foundation for Financial Wellness, this self-paced, on-demand course prepares you to offer the “Living Financially Well” Lunch and Learn to help individuals understand how their relationship with money impacts all dimensions of their wellness (and vice versa) and to equip them with tools  to support their financial wellness and overall well-being for years to come.
Learning Objectives
As a participant in this facilitator training, you—and the individuals to whom you present the “Living Financially Well” Lunch & Learn—will be able to:
    • Connect your experience around your personal financial wellness to the National Wellness Institute’s (NWI’s) Six Dimensions of Wellness Model and the Multicultural Wellness Wheel.
    • Determine how financial wellness impacts all aspects of the Six Dimensions of Wellness Model (including all areas of a person’s work and home life).
    • Recall the names of the 5 Essentials for Financial Wellness
    • Identify thoughts that prevent individual financial wellness and evaluate methods to create a plan to change those thought barriers.
    • Identify strategies to prepare and stick to a budget and eliminate debt.
    • Examine and mitigate the biggest financial risks most individuals face.
    • Understand how an approach to investing (and financial wellness) can be aligned with one’s life vision, values, and goals.
