ABSTRACT
The Buffalo
Niagara Medical Campus (BNMC) is home to 16,000 employees and over 150
organizations. This session will explore over a decade of best-practice
approaches taken on BNMC to build a culture of health. Highlights will include
policy, built environment, and systems changes made, along with data to
demonstrate how these interventions impacted behavior and health outcomes at
the population level. Lessons learned will be shared for designing,
implementing, and evaluating population-level health programs.
OBJECTIVES
Following
this session, participants will be able to:
- describe the specific methods to curate a wellness program at the population level.
- explain the process of aligning diverse stakeholders to implement a health program at scale.
- discuss how to implement and measure changes in health behaviors at the population level.
