Description
ABSTRACT
While the
show “The Biggest Loser” may no longer be relevant, many employees are still
requesting budget-friendly Biggest Loser weight-loss challenges in their
workplace. This session will address whether weight should be a focus in your
workplace, share the latest weight-management evidence, and help you navigate
important health equity issues related to weight management you may be unware
of.
OBJECTIVES
Following
this session, participants will be able to:
- define weight bias and give two examples of how it shows up in the workplace.
- identify two factors that influence body weight and evidence-based approaches to maintaining a healthy weight.
- identify two strategies to use whether wellness programming is weight-focused or weight-neutral.
NOTE: "Registration" for individual sessions is not required. Once onsite, you may attend any sessions on the day(s) for which you are registered.
