Description
ABSTRACT
During this
session, participants will explore how the pandemic created a collective
traumatic event that has influenced the way we engage virtually and in person.
Are you aware of how trauma may influence your audience's ability to respond to
your content? Data will be shared about how unaddressed trauma impacts all of
us who lead, teach, coach, and facilitate. Best practices on improving
engagement techniques that promote empathy, humor, and compassion will be
demonstrated.
OBJECTIVES
Following
this session, participants will be able to:
- identify signs and symptoms of collective trauma.
- evaluate their curriculum and presentation style for "triggering" content.
- learn skills on how to "clean coach" by engaging in a mindfulness practice.
NOTE: "Registration" for individual sessions is not required. Once onsite, you may attend any sessions on the day(s) for which you are registered.
