Description
ABSTRACT
This session will examine the trends that impact various generations, cultures, and perspectives of wellness. A multicultural lens will be used to examine how inclusive certain trends are and the barriers or access they present. Peer-reviewed journals will provide the foundation for evaluating the merits of the trends, but government sources, popular-press outlets, blogs, and video sources will be utilized to provide a clear picture of the extent and impact of the trends. The session will actively involve participants.
OBJECTIVES
Following this session, participants will be able to:
- evaluate wellness trends.
- describe how they can incorporate wellness trends into their personal and/or professional practice.
- create a proposal based upon the concepts that the wellness trends reveal.
