ABSTRACT
Participate
in a one-of-a-kind reverse panel in which we will discuss how to activate and leverage
mentorship through leadership and engagement with the future of our field:
students who wish to be us when they grow up. With a mixture of students,
alumni, and varied-level professionals, we will discuss and share experiences
and consider strategies for engaging, supporting, hiring, and supervising
emerging wellness professionals.
OBJECTIVES
Following
this session, participants will be able to:
- identify the perspective of a college student in the 21st century.
- outline strategies for engagement across generations within the workplace.
- assess options for engagement and mentorship within and across the field.
NOTE: "Registration" for individual sessions is not required. Once onsite, you may attend any sessions on the day(s) for which you are registered.

Ashley Varol, PhD
Ashley Varol, PhD, is a teaching faculty at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Previous roles include creating and launching the University of Cincinnati’s employee wellness program and managing a team of over 100 fitness instructors and trainers at the UC Campus Recreation Center. Ashley serves as a Subject Matter Expert for the American Council on Exercise. Her diverse experiences afford the chance to talk about all facets of health, fitness and well-being.

Bridgette Stewart, MEd, NBC-HWC, CWP
Bridgette serves as the Chief Wellness Officer for the University of West Georgia and the Founder and Director of the Center for Integrative Wellness. She is a passionate health and wellness professional with over 20 years of experience in curriculum and wellness-initiative development. She uses her knowledge and experience as a faculty lecturer, NBC-HWC health coach and worksite wellness specialist to develop programs for students, faculty, staff, and the local community to improve their overall well-being.

Haley Foreman
Haley will be providing a student perspective during the reverse panel. She is a third year Exercise Science major at Xavier University.

Erica Moore
Erica is a graduate student at the University of West Georgia in the Master's in Integrative Health & Wellness program. She will be providing her perspective as a graduate student on the reverse panel.

Elena Spence
Elena is a Psychology major and is pursuing a minor in Community Health and Wellness at the University of West Georgia. She will be providing her perspective as an undergraduate student on the reverse panel.

Erica is a Community Health and Wellness major at the University of West Georgia. She will be providing her perspective as an undergraduate student on the reverse panel.
