Creating Standards for Wellness Professionals: The Why, Who, and How

Creating Standards for Wellness Professionals:
The Why, Who, and How

October 26, 2023 | 12 p.m.–1 p.m. CT
Too many people describe the wellness industry as the “Wild West.” Why is that? One explanation is that no formal structure or rules exist for what constitutes wellness or how it is practiced or delivered. Should that change?

In this webinar, panel members will share their unique perspectives about who in the wellness industry would benefit from practice and ethical standards, why those standards may be needed, and the different methods that could be used to implement those standards.

Learning Objectives
Following this webinar, you will be able to:
    • differentiate between competency standards and ethical standards.
    • explain whether there is a need for standards in wellness, and who would benefit.
    • describe some of the methods for implementing standards and which methods might work best for wellness.
