ABSTRACT
In today's workplace, supporting employee well-being is no longer optional –— Iit’s an important driver of organizational success. This session goes beyond quick fixes and delves into how systemic change can drive employee thriving and organizational success. We'll explore how to identify and address the root causes of employee challenges while fostering a work environment that empowers leaders and individuals to make the key behavioral changes that fuel organizational growth.

OBJECTIVES
Following this session, participants will be able to:

  1. define the interplay between the workplace environment and employee well-being.
  2. identify tools to assess the systemic, organizational issues impacting individual well-being.
  3. describe what an action plan should include to support individuals and leaders in transforming their organization.

NOTE: "Registration" for individual sessions is not required. Once onsite, you may attend any sessions on the day(s) for which you are registered.

  • Marissa Alert, MHS

    Dr. Marissa Alert is a licensed clinical health psychologist, consultant, speaker, and founder of MDA Wellness. Her company is committed to transforming organizations through sustainable well-being solutions to unlock peak performance and fuel growth. Using her proprietary INTENT Framework, Dr. Alert delivers research-based strategies that transcend theory, focusing on actionable skills. With over ten years of experience, she is skilled at making meaningful connections with audiences, who love her down-to-earth approach that keeps them laughing while learning. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Dartmouth College and obtained her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Miami. Her predoctoral and postdoctoral training occurred at Brown University and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She has also been featured in Forbes, Newsweek, Mashable, and Authority Magazine.

  • Patricia Grabarek

    Dr. Patricia Grabarek is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist with expertise in workplace wellness, culture, employee engagement, leadership, and people analytics. Grabarek has spent her career as a practitioner, mostly working in consulting but recently moved internally, leading a people analytics research team at Intuitive. Throughout her career, Dr. Grabarek has worked with over 60 different client organizations from various industries, implementing solutions and research to improve wellness, diversity, retention, performance, and engagement. Recently, she was featured on Culture Amp’s list of Top 25 Emerging Culture Creators for 2024. In addition, she has been featured in various media outlets, including The L.A. Times, CBS News, and CBC Radio. Dr. Grabarek is a co-founder of Workr Beeing, a workplace wellness organization providing engaging solutions and accessible content to create positive work environments.

  • Sharon Unis

    Sharon Unis is an experienced designer, facilitator, and curator of deeply nourishing spaces. With 20+ years in well-being, she offers expertise in how physical and psychological environments can influence our behaviors and how we feel—while highlighting what is possible when we transform those spaces (and ourselves). Sharon has partnered extensively with individuals and organizations, sharing opportunities with people of all ages to take a step back from their daily lives and experience themselves anew. In 2014, Sharon founded Waterbear Planet to guide people through a self-directed process of reducing stress, recovering from burnout, and charting new pathways for everyday thriving. To assist both individual and organizational clients in resolving complex challenges across the work-life spectrum, including burnout mitigation, she’s built a high-quality network of workplace and well-being experts to form catalytic dream teams. Sharon earned her B.A. from Barnard College at Columbia University.

  • Sara Shondrick

    Dr. Sara Shondrick is a leadership coach and consultant with 15+ years of experience working with executives from startups to multinational organizations alike. She adopts an evidence-based approach to help boost employee motivation, engagement, performance, and well-being. As a leadership coach, she specializes in coaching leaders and other high performers to break out of the burnout cycle, break up with perfectionism and not-enough-ness, and create a purpose-driven life. She is the founder of Mix Talent’s leadership coaching practice and previously led internal talent management and talent analytic initiatives at Novo Nordisk and Johnson & Johnson. Sara is an accredited coach through the International Coaching Federation, earned her PhD in I/O psychology from the University of Akron, and earned an executive certificate in leadership coaching through Georgetown University. She is a published author of top peer-reviewed journals including The Leadership Quarterly and regularly facilitates conversations and presentations to diverse professional audiences.
