Course Description
Earn your Certificate as a Worksite Wellness Specialist (CWWS). Be a leader in your profession and drive sustainable improvements in the health and wellness of employees and organizations with the latest research and best practices. This certificate course is purposefully designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, abilities, and tools necessary to create and sustain an inclusive culture of high-level wellness via a comprehensive wellness strategy.

The two-day facilitator-led training includes eight learning modules, small- and large-group discussions, helpful downloadable resources and templates, a PDF copy of the “Wellness Champion Workbook,” and the opportunity to build your Worksite Wellness Specialist Portfolio.
Learning Objectives
Following this course, you'll be able to:
    • Describe the business rationale for a comprehensive worksite wellness strategy.
    • Explain how the National Wellness Institute’s Six Dimensions of Wellness model, Multicultural Wellness Wheel, and Wellness Promotion Competency Model support a comprehensive wellness strategy.
    • Identify key drivers of a successful multidimensional and inclusive wellness initiative.
    • Recognize the importance of fostering a culture of wellness for all.
    • Utilize inclusive and responsive practices at all stages of design, development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive worksite wellness initiative.
    • Apply foundational principles and best practices to deliver realistic, holistic, and evidence-based worksite wellness programming.
    • Use appropriate and inclusive communication methods and technologies to support, manage, and promote high-level wellness for all.
    • Collect and use appropriate data to support a multidimensional and inclusive worksite wellness initiative.

Who Should Attend?
This course is recognized as the premier training program for worksite wellness, human resources, benefits, and interdisciplinary professionals who are responsible for the management and maintenance of a well workforce. Coaches, consultants, vendors, and others who support these efforts within organizations will also benefit from the information and resources provided.
Continuing Education Credit (CEC)
This course is eligible for 12 CECs and pre-approved for: NWI CWP (Category 1), ACSM, CHES/MCHES (Category I CC), NBC-HWC, HRCI, SHRM-CP, & SHRM-SCP. View NWI's CEC Info page for more details.
Course Requirements + Daily Schedule
To receive your Certificate as a Worksite Wellness Specialist and verification of 12 continuing education credits earned, you must attend both live training days and pass the 60-question online certification exam.  The exam must be completed by 11 p.m. CT, Sunday, June 23.
