The National Wellness Institute (NWI) Wellness Promotion Competency Model provides a standard of practice and assists wellness professionals—and those who hire, train, and certify them—in understanding the competencies required to effectively lead well-being efforts and cultivate positive change in diverse groups of individuals. NWI offers nine engaging online Wellness Promotion Competency Model Courses intentionally designed to support knowledge acquisition and skill-building in the five competency domains of this model.
About the eLearning Courses
Each of these nine interactive, self-paced courses includes learning activities and a variety of tools and resources applicable to various wellness-related careers, levels of experience, and professional settings. The courses are especially recommended for individuals working to maintain, or preparing to earn, their Certified Wellness Practitioner (CWP) credential.

This Nine-course Bundle is available for those wishing to increase their competencies in all five domains. All nine courses must be completed within 24 weeks of registering for the bundle. (Register for the bundle now—and SAVE $300!)

Time to complete each course varies by learner, but we suggest planning for a total of three to five hours per course to complete all the learning elements, including any application activities and self-reflections. Delivery Options for Students & Teams
The National Wellness Institute provides options for educational institutions to integrate these courses into their academic curriculum at a reduced rate or to offer courses through their continuing education department. Continuing Education Credit (CEC)
Each course is eligible for 3 CECs and pre-approved for: NWI CWP (Category 1), ACSM, CHES/MCHES (Category I), HRCI, NBC-HWC, SHRM-CP, & SHRM-SCP. View NWI's CEC Info page for more details.

The full course and the Course Evaluation + CEC Request form must be completed before course access ends to earn CECs.
About the NWI Wellness Promotion Competency Model
The research-based NWI Wellness Promotion Competency Model encompasses a total of 27 competencies grouped into five domains. This ground-breaking resource aids in curriculum development, recruitment and hiring, continuing professional development, and certification in the wellness field.

The model serves as the standard for the National Wellness Institute's gold-standard Certified Wellness Practitioner (CWP) certification.
